I have been reading a lot of journals lately, and one of the most common themes I've noticed throughout a lot of them is depression. This is surprising, yet not surprising. I can't really relate to being depressed, although there are times when I feel quite low, although even that never lasts long.

Just last Friday, I was feeling very stressed out about our financial situation, and moving, and to top it off, our apartment was being shown that evening. So I was cleaning like crazy to make it presentable to strangers, while Chris sat on his ass (he had yet another "hard day" at work). I had to beg him practically to even vacuum, and I hate nagging! Anyways, as soon as we got into his truck to leave (with no particular destination in mind) I started crying. I hate that, feeling like I have no control over my emotions, but I obviously needed to get some feelings out! Once I calmed down again, we went over to Chris's parents house for supper, and I felt much better since I was distracted by the other people around.

I know this is nothing like depression though. I am generally a happy person, and I'm very grateful for all the positive things in my life. I think depression is a very internalized thing, and I can see why people get thier feelings out in blogs. It is personal, yet public and anonymous. Perfect way to express yourself.

Anyways, I'm not really sure why I had to bring this up, but just wanted to note the trends I noticed, since I'm still pretty new to blogging. I find it all very fascinating! Humans are such a complicated thing. I'd rather study an entire ecosystem, than try to figure out human minds.
