Welcome!
Here is the journal of a newlywed in her early 20's in Central Alberta, Canada. Moving to Calgary during August.
In September you will get to hear my ramblings about going to University also. I am in my 3rd year of Natural Sciences (minor: Biology and Chemistry). I switched programs after 2 years in the Education (teaching) program.
Mostly my daily happenings, as well as some articles and quotes I found interesting enough to share!
Hope you enjoy your stay, and please let me know you were here!

Im now trying to catch up on all the housework from the weekend...I promise to return later today
and do some catching up.
Just out blog hopping and found yours. I hope your wedding is everything you ever dreamed of. Stop in sometime!

Well the weekend in Saskatoon was a ton of fun! I partied WAY too hard... and payed for it dearly on Sunday
. Oh well, had to get it out of my system! I love visiting with Chris's family, they are all such good people and so much fun! I know them better and see them more than I see any of my own extended family. Which is kind of sad, since we've only been together for 5 years. But now that we're married, they are my family too! I even have a greater sense of belonging with Chris's family, which may seem strange, but it is how I feel. I wish we saw more of his grandmother though, she just had her 95th birthday, and I just know she will live to be 100 or older! She is quite healthy and mobile for being 95! I want to live to be 100. That is my life goal. Although there is no way of seeing what fate has in store for me, I want to see how the world changes in 100 years. If it changes as fast as the past 100 years, it would be amazing! Reminds me of that song "100 years" I think it's called by Five For Fighting.
Anyways, not too much else is new. I am feeling a bit lost because I'm not working... I keep getting which day it is screwed up! I think I may go down to our place in Calgary and spend the night. I am really, really anxious about the University, and I want to check it out before classes start. There is also a lot of cleaning and organizing (and moving still) to be done at our new place. I think I'll take my cat with me, since Chris won't be able to come.
I bought 2 scrapbooks for the wedding pictures! Yay! I've never scrapbooked before, but I've done 4 pages already since last night. They aren't too elaborate, but good for a beginner, and I think it looks much nicer than a traditional photo album! I just felt guilty for spending the money I did on supplies... we really can't afford that right now, but I think of it as an investment, something we'll always have, and something I hope to pass down to my own children someday!
Bye for now!
I wouldn't mind living to 100 as long as my health holds out. The idea of living that long in a sick, useless body doesn't appeal to me at all. As far as keeping my 'marbles'...well, if I lose them along the way I wouldn't know it anyway, haha! My father-in-law will be 82 this year and has spent the past 14 of them as a paralyzed invalid due to a major stroke. He retired from work, finished remodeling his home, and had the stroke. Never had a chance to do any of the traveling or hunting trips or anything else he'd looked forward to. Now he's off in "NeverNever Land" and in bed 23 hours a day. If I have to spend life like THAT, forget it!!! Let me die young!
I was in Saskatoon once, July 1973. I found a wallet with some money under a pinball machine in a bar. Don't remember how much - not much.
