Kris S: Hi...just stopping by to catch up a bit. I don't get a chance to do much visiting any more. I hope you've shaken off the depression - there's nothing worse in the world than feeling blue! Have a lovely holiday season, Brittany! Merry Christmas!
loopychick: I stayed with an old school friend in spruce grove near Edmonton for 2 weeks recently! She moved there from the UK. I loved Alberta!
shinydemon: are you as busy and overwhelmed by midterms as i am right now? eeeks....
Kris S: Hi, Brittany! Just dropping in while I have a little extra time on the computer today to say hello. Did that girl who cried end up coming back to class?! How strange! Hope this finds you well!
cathi: LOL, I moved 3 years ago and we still have boxes in the bedroom, and stuff in the garage. There's something to be said for boxes that remain unopened for ages, perhaps what's in them isn't needed? Nah, it's the next great archeological find.Good luck with your university courses!
ANGEL: JUST STOP TO SAY HI
Leenie: Sorry it's taken forever to get over here...I had a really busy Monday Im now trying to catch up on all the housework from the weekend...I promise to return later today and do some catching up.
Kris S: Thank you so much for the encouraging words you left on my poem entry. I am working my way thru some difficult things but I know I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. He has never let me down, and I know He never will. I just have to remember the 'flames' of the trial will abate! Hope this finds YOU well!
Starlight: Hi Brittany! Just out blog hopping and found yours. I hope your wedding is everything you ever dreamed of. Stop in sometime!
Kris S: Hi, Brittany! Thanks so much for stopping by my site and leaving such a nice tag! I was 20 when I got married, too! Seems like a million years ago now, haha! Congratulations on the wedding this weekend...may you be blessed with many happy years ahead of you, too!
Leenie: Hey there...thanks for the visit and kind words...always appreciated. Have a great week and please drop in again soon...

We all need to give thanks

  • Mood:

Well, thanksgiving was a couple of days ago (at least for us Canadians!), and I wanted to post what I'm most thankful for right now in my life, in no particular order.

-I'm thankful to have a nice house, and not only that but a roof over my head every day as well as the luxuries of heat, electricity and running water. I'm thankful for this every day I take the train and ride past the homeless people sleeping on the streets.

-I'm thankful for my loving and caring husband. He is truly such a wonderful man! He can frustrate me sometimes (don't all husbands?), but my life would not be complete without him there with me.

-I'm thankful for my family. I know they are my best link to who I am and they are my foundation.

-I'm also thankful I married into another wonderful family! Not only is Chris's immediate family great, but without him I never would've learned how great it is when you keep close contact with all of your aunts, uncles, cousins, and other more distant relatives. My family is not really particulary close to our realatives, and most of them live far away.

-I'm thankful I have a good realiable, new car. (I was always waiting for my old car to break down and quit!).

-I'm thankful I have the opportunity to attend university and get a quality education and learn about the world around me. Education is something I'll never take for granted because I've seen the devestating effects of uneducated people.

-I'm thankful that I feel healthy and I am healthy both mentally and physically.

-I'm thankful for where I live. I live in the best city in the best province in the best country! OK, so maybe I'm a little biased here....

-Moreover, I'm thankful I don't live in a war-torn or poverty-stricken area. I have only seen peace (at least within my own country), and have never had to experience poverty.

-I'm thankful for the friends I have. I think I've been able to make better choices about my friends as I've matured, and I truly hope the ones I have now will be friendships that last a lifetime.

-I'm thankful for my cat. I know this sounds really corny, especially for people who arn't pet owners, but I love his companionship, and he allows me to enjoy the simple things in life like he does.

-I'm thankful for the long walks my mom and I take when we are together (and I miss them when we're apart). Along with this, I'm thankful I have stopped hating my mom like I did when I was in high school, and I now respect her immensley (sp?). She is a great source of wisdom!

-I'm thankful that I never have to worry about where my next meal will come from or weather my water is contaminated.

Well, that's all I can think of right now, but there is so much more I am thankful for. I think we should all remind ourselves of how truly lucky we are every day just to be alive.

2 SAY HI!.
